Unpacking CRUs
Upon receiving a CRU, perform the following:
• Inspect the packing slip to ensure that the correct CRU was received.
• Inspect the packing container for damage.
• Check the shipping impact indicators to ensure that they have not been activated
(see Figure 4-1).
If any of the following conditions apply to your shipment, see “Using the Dump Button
to Create a Dump File” on page 3-15:
• The package is damaged.
• An impact indicator has been activated.
• You received the wrong shipment.
If there are no problems, unpack the CRU.
