For details regarding the installation and setup of an optional device driver, refer to the manual supplied with
the optional device.
6.4.1
Installing the LAN and BACS (teaming) drivers
(1) LAN and BACS drivers
If the OS standard installer is used for setup, install the Starter Pack to install the LAN and BACS driver.
Important
To use the BACS, Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 must be installed.
To install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, insert the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD
to the optical disk drive, select Setup Windows and then Install the .NET
Framework Ver2.0 Redistributable Package(x86) from the autorun menu.
Note
To change the LAN or BACS driver settings, log on to the system from a local
console using an administrator's account. Remotely changing the settings by
using the operating system’s remote desktop feature is not supported.
Be sure to select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) check box when specifying an
IP address.
(2) Optional LAN board
This server supports the following optional LAN boards.
Optional LAN boards: N8104-134
If !Ethernet Controller is displayed under Other devices in the Device Manager window after an optional LAN
board is added, you must install the driver using the following procedure:
1. Insert the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD into the optical disk drive.
If an autorun menu appears, close the menu window.
Tips
You do not have to insert the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD if the Starter Pack was
installed from the Internal Flash Memory.
2. Open the Device Manager window, and then double-click the !Ethernet Controller icon under Other
devices.
The Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box appears.
3. Click [Update Driver…] on the Driver tab.
The Hardware Update Wizard window appears.
4. Select the No, not this time option button, and then click [Next].
5. Select the Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) option button, and then click [Next].
