Installing the Starter Pack
After installing Windows Server 2008, follow the steps below and install the Starter Pack. The Starter Pack
installs all drivers required by the Express5800 Series.
Important
Also install the Starter Pack in the following cases.
The system configurations have changed (when internal option devices
have been added or removed)
If a dialog box prompting you to restart appears after changing system
configurations, click [No] and then install the Starter Pack.
If the system was restored using a restore process
If a system has been restored using the backup tool
The Scalable Networking Pack (SNP) function is disabled upon Starter
Pack installation is complete.
The setting of SNP function may affect the system performance. Contact
the sales agent for details.

When using the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD
1. Log on to the system with the built-in administrator, which has administrative privileges.
2. Insert the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD into the optical disk drive.
3. The content displayed differs depending on what the content selected when installing Windows Server
2008. Confirm the following, and then proceed.

When the menu window appears, click Set up Windows to open the short-cut menu and then select
Install Starter Pack.
Tips
The short-cut menu also appears by right-clicking on the menu window.
