Installation Order and Notes
Single channel memory configuration
Install DIMMs one by one in the ascending order of DIMM slot numbers.
Dual channel memory configuration
To activate the dual channel mode, the following conditions must be met:
– Matched DIMM configuration in each channel
– Same density*
– Same DRAM technology*
– Same DRAM bus width*
– All either single-sided or dual-sided
– Matched in both channels.
– Populate symmetrical memory slots (#1 and #2, #3 and #4).
The following table lists an example of the relationship between the installation condition
and the dual channel memory mode.
